SUMMARY:Open Mic Featuring Andrew Lewis
DESCRIPTION:Andrew Lewis \nThis month\, we’re excited to present Andrew Lewis as our feature performer. \nNew England has long been a popular center of folk music in America and Andrew Lewis exemplifies in this tradition. With thousands of miles of road under his feet\, his music is fully rooted while remaining remarkably fresh. Andrew’s songs are drawn from common experience and are expressed with a freshness and an originality that defies Cliché’. \nEither at a house concert\, on stage\, or before a vast festival crowd\, his music resonates in the hearts of his audience. Andrew performs solo as well as having shared the stage with seasoned musicians such as Albert Lee\, and performed “Hey Joe” with Ziggy Marley at the Levitate festival. He has opened for several folk Icons such as Tom Rush\, Eric Anderson\, and Tom Paxton\, and was at one time port of the Boston Acoustic duo Lewis and Garrels. He displays his passion by performing from the heart. \n“When Andrew takes the stage he takes his audience on a ride to familiar places. Give Andrew a listen\, watch a few videos\, but by all means catch one of his shows\, his star is rising.” \nMusic at the Museum is a three-season open mic that occurs at 1:00 pm on the last Saturday of each month\, typically from March through October of each year. Weather permitting\, the open mic is held outdoors at the Museum from May through September\, and unless otherwise indicated\, at the Rindge Meeting House in March\, April\, and October. In the case of rain (or worse)\, we move indoors to the Rindge Meeting House. \nSlots are two songs or ten minutes\, whichever comes first\, and can be reserved by emailing Ray Siekierski at nooniekirk52@gmail.com. \nFor additional information\, visit the Music at the Museum page! \n
