SUMMARY:Open Mic Featuring Walter Crockett
DESCRIPTION:Walter Crockett \nThis month\, we’re excited to present Walter Crockett as our feature performer. \nA brilliant\, eclectic songwriter with an instinct for hooks\, Walter Crockett hails from Worcester\, Mass\, where he recorded four albums with his late wife\, Valerie\, with whom he performed throughout New England. Whether performing solo or as a member of the many bands he’s been a member of over the years\, Walter is the real deal\, equally at home with folk\, Americana\, country\, blues\, and rock’n’roll.  \n  \nWalter Crockett is not your everyday singer-songwriter. He has a unique voice and delivery\, but you won’t forget him once you listen to this rather extraordinary new album. He sings about dreams both simple and profound\, crafted from experience and told from the heart.  \n–Steve Morse\, The Boston Globe \nWalter combines an intimate sharing of lyrical sentiment\, refreshingly off-kilter perspective\, and spot-on musical phrasing. \n–David Wilson \n  \nMusic at the Museum is a three-season open mic that occurs at 1:00 pm on the last Saturday of each month\, typically from March through October of each year. Weather permitting\, the open mic is held outdoors at the Museum from May through September\, and unless otherwise indicated\, at the Rindge Meeting House in March\, April\, and October. In the case of rain (or worse)\, we move indoors to the Rindge Meeting House. Slots are two songs or ten minutes\, whichever comes first\, and can be reserved by emailing Ray Siekierski at nooniekirk52@gmail.com. \nFor additional information\, visit the Music at the Museum page!
